Plan It, Test It, Be Ready!
ProCern Tabletop Exercise (TTX)
The Emergency Preparedness regulation (473.83) requires that a Long-Term Care facility must comply with all applicable Federal, State and local emergency preparedness requirements. The LTC facility must establish and maintain an emergency preparedness program that meets the requirements of this section.
ProCern offers Tabletop Exercises (TTX) that helps satisfy the testing requirement for the Emergency Preparedness regulation. Our experienced training manager takes the facility through the exercise and helps provide documentation needed for the specific requirement.
How it works:
Centers will gather their teams to complete a tabletop exercise that will challenge them to think through multiple scenarios, to consider if their plan will work, or, if there are things they may not have thought about that need to be in their plan.
From this exercise and discussion, centers will be able to determine what worked, what they need to improve upon, and complete an After-Action Report to document their findings.
